GS Language Week: Grammar Gala 2025 – A Celebration of Words and Grammar
DEC 02
The Language Week Grammar Gala officially opened on November 7, 2025, marking nearly a month of activities that strengthened skills, built confidence, and nurtured values among the pupils of Manresa School. Under the leadership of Chairperson Ms. Juliet Ledesma, together with the dedicated Grade School Language teachers, the celebration successfully showcased a wide array of meaningful and enriching activities. Guided by the theme “Speak, Write, and Express with English: Enriching Minds, Bridging Cultures, Growing in Faith, Hope, and Love,” the pupils learned and enjoyed English-focused tasks that blended academic development with character formation. Each activity supported not only the mastery of English but also the growth of values that shape responsible and thoughtful learners.
Throughout the Grammar Gala, pupils participated in engaging activities that helped them grow in various ways. “Word Burst and Word Splash” strengthened vocabulary and sharpened thinking through creative word play. “Little Word Stars” introduced younger learners to joyful word building, encouraging curiosity and a love for learning. “Spot the Grammar Oops!” trained pupils to read carefully, think critically, and aim for accuracy.
“The Spelling Bee and Oral Spelling” fostered focus and confidence, helping learners express themselves with and personal stories, bridging cultures and perspectives through thoughtful communication. “The Language Bulletin of Wonders” showcased creativity, teamwork, and pride in one’s work, while “The Stairs – Step Up to Good Grammar” reminded pupils that every step toward better grammar strengthens both clarity and integrity in communication.
Beyond developing English communication skills, these activities touched the pupils’ hearts. They lived out the spirit of the theme by showing faith in their abilities, hope when faced with challenges, and love through their teamwork and support for one another.
As the Grammar Gala closes on December 2, 2025, the celebration honors not just the winners, but all pupils who participated with effort, enthusiasm, and dedication. Their commitment made Language Week- Grammar Gala meaningful, memorable, and truly successful.
Congratulations to all pupils! May you continue stepping up, learning with purpose, and using language with confidence, kindness, and love.
