Leadership in Action: Manresan Leaders Turn Passion into Purpose at Leadership Seminar
DEC 03
Student leaders across Junior High School and Senior High School gathered at the Main AVR on Saturday, November 29, 2025, for a leadership seminar that featured interactive workshops, discussions, and a Q&A session, designed for club presidents, selected class officers, and the members of the MSGSB and SHSSG Student Councils. The event which was under the theme "Leadership with a Heart: Living Out 'Kapatid sa Kapwa' Through Purpose and Service" was held to motivate the leaders to serve with faith, integrity, and a stronger sense of purpose.
The program began with an opening prayer led by Cassandra Aguilar, Editor-in-Chief of The Manresan.
One of the highlights of the seminar was a talk delivered by Mr. Tristan Gabriel Felipe, Batch 2013 alumnus and former MSGSB President. He shared his personal stories in his leadership journey and the experiences that shaped him, emphasizing three core values he believes every leader should carry: faith, service, and communion in mission.
Mr. Felipe explained how faith provides direction by accepting God’s love, the love of God flowing toward others through service, and how communion in mission becomes more powerful when lived in community, journeying toward a shared purpose.
After the talk, the students took part in a reflective activity entitled "Letter to God." The student leaders were asked to pen down a letter revealing what they believed God was telling them at this point in their leadership journey. This moment gave the students a chance to absorb the speaker’s message and to reconnect with their purpose.
A Q&A session followed, giving students the opportunity to ask the speaker about real-life leadership struggles, balancing responsibilities, and staying motivated. A photo session was held afterwards to commemorate the gathering, accompanied by the presentation of a certificate of appreciation to Mr. Tristan Felipe for his contribution in the event. The seminar then concluded with a closing prayer led by Keyshia Monteiro, SHSSG Governor.
Student leaders not only gained new insights but were also reminded of the profound values that make leadership truly transformative. As these young leaders embark on their journeys, may they continue to lead with courage, compassion, and purpose.
