A Sacred Journey: Teachers Renewed Hope, Faith, and Love during the MS Annual Retreat

The third group of dedicated teachers gathered at Manresa Retreat House in Quezon City for their categorized annual retreat from June 27 to 29, 2024. The retreat was facilitated by Fr. Isaac Yiabom Boakye, SP. The three-day retreat focused on the themes of hope, faith, and love.

The retreat began with a warm welcome and reflection questions that would guide the teachers through their spiritual journey. The questions, to be shared with their caring groups, were designed for deep contemplation and introspection, fostering a stronger connection with God and with one another.

Throughout the three days, the teachers engaged in reflective activities, prayer sessions, and heartfelt discussions. They shared their personal experiences of God's goodness, drawing strength and inspiration from each other's stories. The collective reflection allowed them to witness the diverse ways in which faith had touched their lives, reinforcing their belief in the power of God's love.

Father Luigi's teachings resonated deeply with the teachers, reminding them that love is the foundation of their vocation and the driving force behind their commitment to education.

The annual retreat, held before the start of the school year, served as a spiritual anchor for the teachers. It provided a sacred time and space for them to reconnect with God, renew their faith, and spiritually prepare for the year ahead.

As the retreat concluded, the teachers left with a renewed sense of hope, faith, and love. They were reminded of their sacred duty not only to educate but also to inspire and nurture the young minds entrusted to their care. The three days spent at Manresa Retreat House were more than just a retreat; they were a transformative experience, strengthening their relationship with God and with one another.

In the words of Father Luigi, "Love is the greatest above all." This timeless message will undoubtedly guide these dedicated educators as they embark on a new school year, bringing the light of hope, the strength of faith, and the boundless power of love.
