Celebrating National Bible Week 2026: God’s Word Brings LIFE
Manresa School Grade School Department joyfully celebrated National Bible Week 2026 from January 20 to 27 with the theme “God’s Word Brings LIFE (Love, Integrity, Faith, and Engagement) to our Hearts and our Homes.” Spearheaded by the CLE-GMRC Area of the Grade School Department, the celebration aimed to deepen the pupils’ love for the Word of God and inspire them to live out its values in their daily lives.
The week-long celebration officially opened with a meaningful launching program highlighted by a para-liturgy, an audio-visual presentation of the planned activities, a community dance, and a preliminary Bible Quiz Bee. Pupils from Nursery to Grade 6 actively participated in various classroom-based and school-wide activities such as the Bible Quiz Bee, Bible Story Hunt, Color the Word of God, and Bible wall art projects, all designed to help them understand and apply the teachings of Scripture.
Older pupils from Grades 4 to 6 also took on the role of Ate and Kuya storytellers through Stories That Shine, sharing Bible stories with younger learners and promoting peer mentoring and faith-sharing. Interactive activities like the Tower of LIFE encouraged pupils to connect God’s Word with their everyday actions and decisions.
Creativity and reverence were further showcased through the Altar of Saints and the Gallery of Saints, prepared by different grade levels and school offices. These displays reflected the pupils’ understanding of holiness and their appreciation of the lives of the saints.
The celebration culminated in a joyful program featuring an audio-visual presentation, recognition of participants, and the awarding of certificates and prizes. National Bible Week 2026 was a meaningful and faith-filled celebration that strengthened the pupils’ understanding of God’s Word and inspired the entire school community to live out the values of Love, Integrity, Faith, and Engagement in school, at home, and in the community.
