FEB 19

The family “is called to welcome, radiate, and show the world the love and presence of Christ.” -RCA Circular Letter No. 18: Family Day 2025
The Family Day celebration on February 8th and 9th, 2025, fostered a strong sense of community and familial spirit throughout the school with the celebration of the Holy Mass in the morning. The event was a resounding success, with a large turnout of attendees enjoying time with family and friends together. The second day was packed with fun and meaningful activities, including spiritual reflections, mini-reunions, musical performances, talent shows, and opportunities for family bonding and relaxation. This year's Family Day theme, Amoris Laetetia and Laudato Si', provided a unique and meaningful experience for all. The celebration aimed to encourage and strengthen family love, respond to the Church's call to care for our common home, promote solidarity within families, and raise funds for MSPA legacy projects. These objectives were undoubtedly realized with the profound support and collaboration of the entire educative family and active participation of everyone involved.
Fond Memories of Day 2 Activities
Cheer Dance Exhibition of Manresans. The parents and audience were once again captivated by the repeat performance of the intramural cheer dance presentations of preschool pupils to grade 12 students. The Cheer Dance Exhibition was a vibrant and energetic showcase of athleticism, artistry, and teamwork. It was more than just a display of synchronized movements; it was a storytelling medium, a burst of color and music, and a testament to the dedication and hard work of the performers with the guidance, coaching and support of their teachers. Here are some captivating Cheer Dance Exhibitions.
Obstacle Course. This challenging activity ignited a friendly and competitive spirit among families of Nursery to Grade 6 pupils. Parents and children alike embraced the challenges, navigating each station with enthusiasm and laughter. With the collaborative efforts of the MSPA and Manresa School Staff, the activity was executed successfully. The challenges were tailored to different age groups. Nursery to Grade 3 families tackled stations like Cone Weave, Jump Rope, Hula Hoop, Target Toss, and Garter Limbo. Pupils in Grades 4 to 6 with their families faced more complex tasks, including a T-shirt Relay, Shake the Ball Out, Shoot the Straw, and a "Solve It" puzzle. The ultimate goal was speed and efficiency. Families raced against the clock, vying for the fastest completion time. Emerging victorious were the Manio family (Nursery to Grade 3) and the Librea family (Grades 4 to 6). They were given exciting tickets to the Enchanted Kingdom. Second and third place finishers also received well-deserved consolation prizes. The Obstacle Course provided a fun and memorable experience for all participating families. -Ms. Glenn Joy Abad

Battle of the Bands. Amidst the cold breeze in the prominent grounds of the school, a different kind of battle unfolded – the homegrown Battle of the Bands. Spearheaded by the teachers, this year’s Battle of the Bands was more than just a competition. This event was a vibrant celebration of music, a proving ground for emerging artists, and a testament to the thriving creative spirit that brought friends, families and community together. Beyond the immediate thrill of the competition, the Battle of the Bands served as a launching pad for local talents.
