MS FAMILY DAY - Day 1 Activities

The first day of the Family Day was a resounding success, filled with fun for all ages. Organized by the Manresa School Parents Auxiliary (MSPA) in collaboration with the school administration and other members of the school’s educative community, the event featured food, merchandise, performances showcasing local talents, and activities fostering unity, teamwork, sportsmanship and a strong sense of community and family spirit. 

Sports Activities

The sports activity offered a rewarding and exciting learning experience, fostering personal growth through discipline, communication, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The satisfaction of seeing hard work translated into achievement builds self-confidence among the players and teams.

Phoenix Blaze Cup - Basketball                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              The new gym echoed with cheers from parents and friends supporting the basketball players. Intense matches from elementary to high school showcased not only the players' talents but also the spirit of being a Tatak Manresan, as athletes extended help to teammates and opponents alike during injuries. Each interviewee shared their unique perspectives on the competition. Phoenix Sol Cup - Volleyball                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    On Saturday, February 8, the Phoenix Sol Cup kicked off with exciting volleyball games held at the old gym at 2:00 PM. Participants included students, parents, alumni, and staff, all embodying the spirit of teamwork reflected in the motto “Tatak Manresa: Kapatid sa Kapwa.” Despite the close matches and competitive spirit, everyone maintained good sportsmanship, with no foul play. In the end, the teachers and staff emerged as champions of the Phoenix Sol Cup 2025. Young Manresans participated, enjoyed and learned through the unforgettable, fun, entertaining and educational wacky Nutty Scientist activities.  

Chill Zone (Massage, Haircut, and Foot Massage)

The Chill Zone offered affordable haircuts and massages, promoting well-being for customers while providing income for service providers.

Amazing Race

The school grounds transformed into an arena of excitement, where families faced off in a thrilling series of games, challenges, and relays—all in the name of fun and togetherness. The competition was fierce but friendly, as families pushed their limits while embracing the joy of the moment. Whether it was parents and kids running side by side in the relay, strategizing through problem-solving challenges, or simply sharing high-fives after each victory, the Amazing Race: Family Day truly lived up to its name. As the final challenge wrapped up and the winning family was crowned, one thing was clear: every participant was a champion. Beyond the prizes and the competition, what truly made this event special was the bonding, teamwork, and shared joy among families. A huge thank you to all the families who participated, our dedicated facilitators, and everyone who contributed to making this day a huge success. Arts and Crafts

Children possess boundless energy and hidden talents that, when nurtured, can lead to remarkable outcomes and fulfillment.  The Grade 3 classrooms buzzed with students from Grades 4 to 6 engaged in various creative and artistic activities. With a total of nine activities to choose from, students participated in fun projects like making slime and creating family trees using thumbprints. Family Fused

Like America's hottest game show, this Manresa School trivia game pitted teams against each other that tested their knowledge of Manresa School, using survey responses from its educators. The room was alive with a hearty crowd, filled with genuine screams of both victory and defeat. The Family Fused event was an intense competition, where each team member shared their hunches about the most-voted survey answers. When teams were stumped, the hosts turned to the crowd for help. This lively game fostered a sense of camaraderie not only among the two teams but also with the entire audience in the Main AVR. -By: Perez, Jacob, Grade 10- Hopefulness

Motivational Talk with Bro. Arun Gogna                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 Friends and family gathered for an afternoon of laughter, heartwarming talk, reflection and prayer led by the sought-after speaker, Feast builder of South Feast in Festival Mall, Alabang, spiritual advisor, and founder of Creative House Ministry. The attendees, primarily parents with a few students, listened attentively to Bro. Arun Gogna in the auditorium. The audience was actively engaged, particularly during the comedic moments of his talk. Outside the venue, his books were available for sale. After the event, a long line formed as attendees eagerly waited for photos and autographs, stretching on for several minutes. -Dabu, Christian, Grade 10- Service

Harana Para sa Kalikasan                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            Inspired by Laudato Si: Care for Creation, this activity celebrated local talents offering a special selection of songs that filled the air, inviting the audience to sing along or simply close their eyes and be transported to a world where worries melted away and nature's beauty took center stage. The audience could feel the sun's warmth on their skin, inhale the cold and fresh air, and feel the profound connection to nature. In those shared moments, everyone felt a deep sense of gratitude for this cherished and priceless treasure from God.

Food Booths and Merchandize                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  Complementing the activities, the grounds were lined with more than seventy food booths and merchant stalls, providing a diverse culinary experience and a range of shopping opportunities. The stalls area was jam-packed with groups and individuals, with each corner bustling with people eager to buy food. All the tables were occupied, as attendees enjoyed a diverse array of offerings, ranging from Filipino street food to Middle Eastern cuisine. Not to mention that this year’s Family day is also loaded with a variety of stores selling thrifted goods, merchandise, goodies, and many more. -Papas, Mia Khryselle Arda and Gerard Benjamin Artes, Grade 10 Endurance

A palpable sense of family permeated the first day of Family Day, fostering connection, communion, and joyful reunions. The spirit of Tatak Manresa, Tatak Hijas: Kapatid sa Kapwa was clearly present, beautifully reflecting the theme: Amoris Laetitia, Laudato Si: The Joy of Love for Family and Care for Our Common Home in this Jubilee Year of Hope.
