Holy Rosary Prayer with Families
Pope Francis announced that the 2024 year was marked as a year of prayer, in preparation for the jubilee year of hope in 2025.
“No small thing: Praying the rosary is great in God's eyes”, Pope Francis says.
The Pastoral Ministry Team members of Manresa School through the Family Ministry intended to promote the prayer of the Holy Rosary, with the invited Manresa families in September and October. Seeking the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary through the rosary together does not only call upon her divine assistance but also strengthens the faith community. This shared experience deepens the members’ bonds as a family and community, helping them grow in faith, support, and unity.
Despite the adverse weather conditions in the first week of September with heavy rains, floods, and even cancellation of classes, the members of the Pastoral Ministry have a greater desire to start the Holy Rosary. The first rosary prayer with the family happened last September 4, 2024, with the family of Dr. Lemuel and Mrs. Reese Del Rosario. They are the couple volunteers for the Family Ministry this school year 2024-2025.
Mrs. Reese Del Rosario joyfully shared with us her piece of impression and reflection:
“On September 4th, our family felt truly blessed by the visit from the Pastoral Ministry, which included the F.I. sisters and the Manresa School faculty and staff. Despite the rainy weather, their presence brought a sense of warmth and peace, deepening our connection with each other and our Catholic community.
Praying the Rosary drew us closer to God, strengthened our faith, and deepened our devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. This shared time of worship was a powerful reminder of the importance of having a supportive community in our spiritual lives, praying together as a family, and seeking the blessings of the Holy Family.
We are deeply grateful to the Pastoral Ministry for their dedication and for taking the time to be with us, which showed the true meaning of communal prayer. We hope that other families will also have the opportunity to experience such a blessing and feel the presence of the Holy Family in their lives, just as we did.”
More families will be invited to this Holy Rosary prayer and pastoral visit in September and October, months dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary, our Mother.
