Manresa Grade School Summer Volleyball Camp 2025
MAY 23

The recently concluded summer volleyball camp for grade school pupils was a resounding success, offering a fun, active, and educational experience for all participants. Held last May 5 to 23, 2025, the camp brought together a lively group of young pupils eager to learn the fundamentals of volleyball in a supportive and energetic environment. From the first day, the enthusiasm was palpable as campers participated in warm-up routines, icebreaker games, and group drills designed to introduce and reinforce key volleyball skills such as serving, passing, setting, and spiking.
Throughout the camp, participants were grouped by age and skill level to ensure personalized attention and appropriate challenges. Each session was carefully planned and targeted a specific value that emphasized the importance of teamwork, communication, discipline, and sportsmanship—values that extended beyond the volleyball court and into everyday life.
As the camp progressed, students showed noticeable improvement in their abilities and confidence. Many campers who had never played before were soon serving over the net and participating enthusiastically in scrimmages, while more experienced players were able to fine-tune their techniques and deepen their understanding of game strategy. Daily activities included skill-building exercises, small-group coaching, and team challenges, all of which were designed to keep the children engaged, learning, and having fun.
Beyond the technical training, the camp also incorporated recreational games, fitness activities, and moments of reflection and encouragement. Campers enjoyed friendly competitions and relay races, which fostered a spirit of camaraderie and kept the energy levels high. Break times were filled with laughter, snacks, and new friendships being formed.
By the final day, the campers participated in a mini-tournament where they were able to showcase the skills they had learned in front of cheering teammates. The event concluded with a small recognition ceremony, where every participant received a certificate of recognition and words of praise for their effort, growth, and positive attitude.
Overall, the summer volleyball camp provided an unforgettable experience filled with learning, laughter, and growth. It not only helped children improve their athletic abilities but also left them with increased confidence, new friendships, and a deeper love for the sport. Many are already looking forward to returning next year, ready to spike, serve, and shine once again.
