Grade Three Pupils Celebrate Their First Holy Communion

The Grade 3 pupils of Manresa School experienced a significant milestone in their faith journey as they joyfully received their First Holy Communion on November 24, Feast of Christ the King, at the Manresa Old Gym. The sacred celebration was presided over by Rev. Father Hansel Marasigan and Rev. Father Enrico Salazar, marking a profound and sacred moment for the children and their families.

Preparations for this meaningful event began earlier in the week, with the pupils attending a recollection on November 16 and participating in their first confession on November 20. These moments of spiritual cleansing allowed the children to reflect and prepare their hearts to receive the Body of Christ. Practices were conducted on November 21 and 22 under the guidance of the Pastoral Committee, led by Mr. Archee Curiba, along with the Grade 3 faculty and CLE teachers. During these sessions, the pupils learned about the sacrament's significance and familiarized themselves with the ceremony.

On the day of the First Holy Communion, the pupils, dressed in white to symbolize purity, demonstrated their readiness to embrace God’s love and blessing in their lives. Parents, teachers, and other guests gathered to witness this memorable event, expressing their gratitude for the opportunity to celebrate the children’s growing faith.

As the Mass concluded, parents shared their hopes that their children would continue to deepen their relationship with God and live out their faith in their daily lives.
